ESPN and Make-A-Wish Have Combined to Help a Bristol, Connecticut-area Family Make its Home More Accessible

Alex “AJ” Schilling is blind, uses a wheelchair and is going deaf. He suffers seizures daily due to a rare disorder that’s afflicted him since birth.

His parents wanted to make their home as accessible as possible for their growing 11-year-old son, who weighs 72 pounds. Make-A-Wish contacted ESPN and the company’s Bristol Facilities team jumped into action.

On Na’vi River Journey, guests will sail down a mysterious river by canoe and experience the beauty of Pandora’s bioluminescent rainforest and the glowing plants and amazing creatures that live within.

Disney ABC Television Group Launches “Choose Kindness” Campaign in Support of National Bullying Prevention Month

One out of every four students reports being bullied during the school year, according to a 2015 report by the National Center for Educational Statistics.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and Disney ABC Television and ESPN are working together to encourage everyone to “choose kindness” in an effort to help end bullying.
