Inside Disney Channel's Locally Produced 'Violetta'

Just over a year ago, "Violetta," a tween-oriented telenovela developed by Disney Channel Latin America and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), first debuted in Latin America and Italy after months of planning and development. With its relatable storylines, catchy tunes and brilliant international cast, the original series didn’t take nearly as long to become a certifiable hit with audiences around the world. "Violetta" tells the story of a musically talented teenager (played by Argentine actress Martina Stoessel) who returns to her native Buenos Aires with her father after living in Europe for several years. Once back in her hometown, she quickly discovers the meaning of true love, develops her natural talents and learns her family's real story… all while navigating the trials and tribulations of growing up.

All-ASL Episode of ABC Family's 'Switched at Birth' Premieres Tonight

Tonight, ABC Family's award-winning original series "Switched at Birth" will break new ground for television. The hour-long drama, which premiered in June 2011, follows two very different teenage girls — one deaf — who discover they were switched at birth. For the first time in the history of the series, the show will be told exclusively from the deaf characters’ perspectives.

'Peter Pan,' 'Jake and the Never Land Pirates' Entertain Audiences

Just over two years ago Disney Junior premiered its first original series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, a music-filled interactive treasure hunt that follows the Never Land adventures of a crew of kid pirates, leader Jake and pals Izzy and Cubby. New Animated Series 'Henry Hugglemonster' Premieres in the UK on Disney Junior

After nearly four years of planning and production, we’re so excited that animated series "Henry Hugglemonster" premiered last Friday on Disney Junior in the UK. The show, based on the popular children’s book "I’m a Happy Hugglewug" by award-winning children's book author/illustrator and Ireland's Children’s Laureate Niamh Sharkey, follows the adventures of Henry and his loving, bustling monster family, known as The Hugglemonsters.
