Behind the Scenes at ABC's 'The View' with 'NBA Countdown' Host Sage Steele

Crossover opportunities are often developed across Disney platforms to share unique resources and content, while introducing key programming to new audiences. For example, hosts from ABC’s "The Chew" shared recipes on ESPN’s "College GameDay" and ESPN Radio’s Colin Cowherd and SEC Network’s Brent Musburger voiced animated characters in Disney•Pixar’s "Cars 2" and "Disney’s Planes".

Disney Publishing Worldwide Shines at Bologna Children's Book Fair

Bologna, Italy, is a city known for its culinary tradition. But did you also know that it’s the location of one of the largest children’s book festivals? Each year, Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) travels to Bologna, along with hundreds of publishers, editors, authors and agents to attend the Bologna Children’s Book Fair—a three-day event that is one of the most significant book festivals for the children’s publishing industry. In 2013, the fair had 1,200 exhibitors from 75 countries and 25,000 international professional trade representatives. This year’s book fair—which took place March 24–27—marked another action-packed event. DPW’s booth was a popular destination for guests and showcased the latest content from Disney’s publishing arm.

"Newsies," the Tony® Award-winning "Critics' Pick" originally announced for 101 performances in 2012 and now approaching its 900th performance, celebrates two years on Broadway tomorrow, March 29, at the Nederlander Theatre. Since bursting onto Broadway, "Newsies" has set and broken seven Nederlander Theatre house records on its way to becoming the highest grossing show of the 2011-12 Broadway season. The show received 23 major theatrical nominations—including eight Tony Award nods—and won Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Score and Choreography.

Okay, this is a little embarrassing, but when I found out that I got the part for "Austin & Ally," I literally jumped up and down on my bed out of excitement. I just couldn’t help it! I had grown up with Disney Channel, and let’s be honest, who wouldn’t be thrilled about being on a Disney show? And this opportunity turned out to be way better than I ever could have imagined. I joined the Disney family and got the chance to do what I love every day, and on top of that, I’m also able to give to my community in so many ways.

Earlier this week, Disney and DISH Network Corporation announced a groundbreaking, long-term and wide-ranging distribution agreement that will provide DISH customers with access to Disney’s robust lineup of top quality sports, news and entertainment content across televisions, computers, smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles and connected devices. The renewal agreement supports the companies’ mutual goal to deliver the best video content to customers across multiple platforms. This also strengthens the value of the multichannel video subscription and creates the opportunity for DISH to deliver new services in the future.

Disney News This Week: Disney Ships Receive Top Honors, 'General Hospital' Airs 13,000th Episode, 'Frozen' Sing-Along on 'Good Morning America,' 'The Wind Rises' Now Playing in Theaters

The Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Awards were recently announced, and Disney ships received 29 awards, including 13 No. 1 awards such as Best Overall, Best for Families, Best Service, Best Dining and Entertainment and Best Cabins and Public Rooms for the Disney Fantasy in the Large Ship category. This is the largest number of awards Disney Cruise Line has ever received at a single time. In addition, all four Disney ships were recently ranked among the top cruise ships in the world on the Condé Nast Traveler 2014 Readers' Choice list, claiming four of the top five spots in the Best Large Cruise Ships category.
