Happy New Year from the 'Destination: Cars Land' Rose Parade Float

By Christi Erwin Donnan, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

After much anticipation, the “Destination: Cars Land” float finally debuted today during the 124th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. And what a site it was to see! From Lightning McQueen to Mater the tow truck, and even smoke-puffing mini tractors, all the stars of Cars Land were right at home as they enjoyed a cruise down Colorado Blvd., part of which is also known as the famous Route 66.

Disney has a 75-year history of involvement in the Rose Parade, and you can check the Disney Parks Blog for more photos and video from today’s festivities.

I'm glad that they still hold onto these traditions even after all these years. Its been nearly 75 years since Disney had its involvement in the Rose Parade. It was quite fun watching the parade as I grew up.Even though us adults don't find the event too fascinating,it is still a center of attraction for children and tourists coming to visit.
