"Newsies," the Tony® Award-winning "Critics' Pick" originally announced for 101 performances in 2012 and now approaching its 900th performance, celebrates two years on Broadway tomorrow, March 29, at the Nederlander Theatre. Since bursting onto Broadway, "Newsies" has set and broken seven Nederlander Theatre house records on its way to becoming the highest grossing show of the 2011-12 Broadway season. The show received 23 major theatrical nominations—including eight Tony Award nods—and won Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Score and Choreography.

Disney's 'The Lion King' by the Numbers

Disney’s The Lion King, the musical based on the 1994 animated film, just entered its 17th year on Broadway—making it the fourth longest-running and all-time highest grossing musical on the Great White Way. But did you know that more than 70 million people around the globe have seen a performance of Disney’s The Lion King? Tours and sit-down productions have delighted audiences from across North America and Japan to the United Kingdom.

'Peter and the Starcatcher' Stays Green on Stage

One person’s trash is another person’s Tony® Award—especially for scenic designer Donyale Werle and costume designer Paloma Young. The "Peter and the Starcatcher" creative duo received 2012 Tony Awards for their inspired work on the vibrantly original Disney Theatrical Group production, in which they repurposed discarded objects and rubbish to create a magical, environmentally friendly ambiance.
