#DisneyHaunts Halloween with Consumer Products

With Halloween looming around the corner, 162 million Americans are expected to celebrate the haunted holiday this year. At Disney Consumer Products (DCP), we are beyond ready for a frightfully fun time! In fact, we are so excited for Halloween that we hosted an invite-only #DisneyHaunts VIP Halloween Event last Tuesday, October 4. The spook-tacular event took place at Disney’s Grand Central Creative Campus, transforming the space to a fabulously frightful Halloween fashion show and shopping event. The fashion runway lay directly in the center of the space, with models of all ages showcasing top Disney Halloween costumes. With highlights across all of the Disney franchises including Disney Princess, Marvel, "Star Wars" and Disney Junior, the pieces represented a variety of costume options for everyone.

Disney Publishing Worldwide Shines at Bologna Children's Book Fair

Bologna, Italy, is a city known for its culinary tradition. But did you also know that it’s the location of one of the largest children’s book festivals? Each year, Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) travels to Bologna, along with hundreds of publishers, editors, authors and agents to attend the Bologna Children’s Book Fair—a three-day event that is one of the most significant book festivals for the children’s publishing industry. In 2013, the fair had 1,200 exhibitors from 75 countries and 25,000 international professional trade representatives. This year’s book fair—which took place March 24–27—marked another action-packed event. DPW’s booth was a popular destination for guests and showcased the latest content from Disney’s publishing arm.

Bestselling Disney Series 'Kingdom Keepers' Concludes in Final Book, Out Next Week

Disney Publishing Worldwide award-winning author Ridley Pearson is back with his bestselling series Kingdom Keepers, which follows five teens who were transported to the Disney Parks through a technological glitch. For more than three years, Ridley’s Kingdom Keepers have done little more than surveillance missions into the Disney Parks after dark to prevent Disney’s destruction.
