Music News: Demi and Selena Ramp Up for Album Releases

Hollywood Records artists Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez are gearing up for the release of their forthcoming albums with new singles.

Demi’s fourth studio album and her most personal to date, Demi, is due out May 14 and available for preorder today. “Heart Attack,” the first single, debuted in late February at No. 1 on iTunes in over 18 countries. It’s already RIAA Gold-certified and has entered the Top 15 at Top 40 Radio. Fresh off Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, Demi will make an appearance on tonight’s Dancing With The Stars, with planned visits to Good Morning America, Live With Kelly & Michael, and Ellen on the way.

Selena will release her as-yet-untitled new album this summer, with the first single “Come & Get It” arriving on iTunes on April 8. She’ll perform the song live at the MTV Movie Awards the following week, and she’s also nominated for and will perform at the upcoming Radio Disney Music Awards on April 27. Right now fans can access exclusive content, including lyrics and previews, through SelenaGomez.com.

Demi and Selena are just two of the many talented performers that call Hollywood Records and Disney Music Group (DMG) home. Representing pop, rock, country, and more, Disney’s vibrant roster of recording artists include Plain White T’s, Bridgit Mendler, Lucy Hale, Zendaya, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, and R5. Just last week, Hollywood Records signed Zendaya’s Shake It Up co-star Bella Thorne to a record deal.

As part of The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Music Group is responsible for all of The Walt Disney Company’s recorded music and music publishing operations. In addition to Hollywood Records, DMG manages the Walt Disney Records label, through which we release many of our film and TV soundtracks, like the Academy Award®-winning The Muppets soundtrack, as well as special collections featuring classic songs from across Disney’s rich cinematic history.
