Jeff Williams is a former technology and global operations executive with extensive experience in brand stewardship and consumer products. He served as Apple’s Chief Operating Officer for a decade, retiring in 2025 after more than 25 years at the company. He joined Apple in 1998 as Head of Worldwide Procurement before being promoted to Vice President of Operations in 2004. He played an important role in the launch of the first iPhone in 2007 and went on to hold responsibility for worldwide product operations and oversee Apple’s supply chain, service and support. In 2013, in conjunction with his operations role, Mr. Williams began leading the Apple Watch project and the company’s expansion into health and fitness. In 2019, he also began leading Apple’s Design studio. Prior to joining Apple, he held various engineering and operational roles at IBM. Mr. Williams holds a mechanical engineering degree from North Carolina State University, and a master’s degree in business from Duke.
