Disney Ranks High on Fortune’s 2019 List of “World’s Most Admired Companies”

The Walt Disney Company is among the “World’s Most Admired Companies,” landing at No. 4 on Fortune’s annual survey of corporate reputations, moving up from No. 6 in 2018. Disney continues to lead the entertainment industry on Fortune’s list, which recognizes the Company’s social responsibility, people management, long-term investment value and global competitiveness, among other key attributes of reputation.

Fortune partnered with the global management consulting firm Korn Ferry to determine the best-regarded companies in 52 industries, as well as 50 “All-Stars.” Korn Ferry surveyed executives, directors and analysts about enterprises in their own industries, looking at nine criteria from investment value, quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. The 50 All Stars were selected by 3,750 executives, directors and securities analysts, who were asked to name the 10 companies they admired most. In recent months, Disney also placed fourth on Forbes’ list of the World’s Best Employers for 2018 and earned the top spot on Forbes’ list of the World’s Best Regarded Companies for 2018.
