Disney Interactive Takes Fans to ‘Infinity’ and Beyond with New Product Announcements

Just in time for E3 – the world’s premier trade show for computer and video game products — Disney Interactive announced several new experiences. Joined by industry leaders from more than 100 countries, the team had plenty to share during the three-day expo at the LA Convention Center just a few weeks ago.

Even before the event opened, a pre-E3 press conference revealed that Star Wars: Battlefront – a classic series of games that showcases Star Wars locales and ground-battle action – is back in development. Star Wars: Battlefront will be the first game in a new licensing agreement between Disney and Electronic Arts, kicking off a new era of Star Wars video games.

That momentum continued when E3 opened its doors and Disney fans got an early look atFantasia: Music Evolved. The game takes interactivity to the next level with Kinect motion technology and controller-free gameplay that allows players to control music flow as though they are Yen Sid in the animated film, Fantasia.

That Disney heritage comes to life in a new way with Disney Infinity, which gives players endless opportunities to create their own stories with characters from popular Disney franchises. E3 attendees also had an opportunity to take the latest Disney Infinity Play Set for a spin.

As the event wrapped up, there was one final announcement. The first social game featuring Marvel’s iconic super heroes, Avengers Alliance, is now available for iOS devices and coming soon to Android. The release brings the expansive Marvel Universe and originalMarvel: Avengers Alliance storyline – with a cast of more than 40 Super Heroes and 180 Super Villains – to gamers and Super Hero fans alike via mobile screens.

And finally, since E3, Disney Mobile introduced Where’s My Mickey?, the latest in the popular Where’s My…? series. Inspired by Disney Television Animation’s Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, Where’s My Mickey? introduces players to a world of physics-based gameplay along with entertaining animations and new graphics.

We’ve got a lot going on at Disney Interactive and we look forward to continue sharing it with you!
