It’s quite common to see familiar faces from across The Walt Disney Company appear on ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, Disney XD and throughout the Disney family of networks in a variety of different roles. Crossover opportunities are often developed across Disney platforms to share unique resources and content, while introducing key programming to new audiences. For example, hosts from ABC’s The Chew shared recipes on ESPN’s College GameDay and ESPN Radio’s Colin Cowherd and SEC Network’s Brent Musburger voiced animated characters in Disney’s Planes and Disney•Pixar’s Cars 2.
NBA Countdown host Sage Steele is the most recent example to demonstrate the success of these efforts. Steele has co-hosted ABC’s The View several times over the past few months—appearing alongside hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy while discussing health care, parenting, celebrity news, politics and, of course, sports.
