The Force is with Tokyo Disneyland!
Earlier this month, the park debuted Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, a complete renovation of the popular attraction that opened at the park in 1989.
The innovative update to this virtual reality-based attraction features a new world full of famous (and infamous) Star Wars characters and settings in breathtaking 3D. What’s more, more than 50 possible story combinations are produced through the random selection of multiple scenarios – meaning guests will be able to experience a different storyline each time they ride, with unexpected thrills at every turn.
Whether it’s coming face to face with Darth Vader or visiting the sparkling planet of Coruscant, guests can expect an intergalactic adventure like no other.
But the attraction itself isn’t the only innovative aspect of this debut. The team took a unique approach to promoting Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, creating viral video segments that feature Darth Vader’s Imperial invasion of Japan including Sapporo, Nagoya, Yokohama and of course, Tokyo. The launch of this attraction is all part of the 30th anniversary celebration year at Tokyo Disney Resort, and it’s already proven to be a blast (pun intended) for our guests!
