It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California as celebrations take place for the holiday season.
The holidays are one of the most festive and popular times for Disney parks, and it takes a herculean effort to pull off all the merry magic.
“I think most people think we do it in a night, and if we’re doing our job correctly it should seem that way, but it takes us over four weeks to install the Christmas decor throughout the resort,” said Dawn Pipal-Keehne, a Resort Enhancement Area Manager for Disney. “We have over 50 cast members that bring the holiday decor into the resort over those four weeks.”
The holiday transformation of the Disneyland Resort has many memorable attractions including a massive gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which takes weeks to build and has over 80 Mickey Mouse gingerbread cookies.
The holidays at Disneyland Resort also includes traditional favorites such as “snow” on Main Street U.S.A., special fireworks, and A Christmas Fantasy Parade.
