This weekend, Disneyland Resort will harness the Force for the first-ever Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend presented by Sierra Nevada Corporation. The all-new runDisney weekend features various events for Jedi Knights and Padawans of all ages, along with Disney entertainment and special appearances from Star Wars and Disney characters. Runners of all levels, from Olympians to novices, will participate in the Kids Races, 5K, 10K and half-marathon courses. Bragging rights and an exclusive finisher medal await those who take the ultimate test of strength and endurance in the Star Wars Rebel Challenge by completing both the Star Wars 10K and the Star Wars Half Marathon—a 2-day, 19.3-mile run. This weekend’s journey to a galaxy far, far away sold out in just about two hours, and more than 23,000 participants from around the world will join the galactic adventure.
Disney Consumer Products unveiled exclusive details about the new global toy lines celebrating Disney•Pixar’s Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur, debuting theatrically in the U.S. on June 19 and November 25, respectively. Both movies will have robust toy lines from best-in-class licensee TOMY, whose innovative approach, strength in international markets and ability to reflect Pixar’s unique storytelling in its product lines made them the ideal choice for Pixar Animation Studios’ most exciting year yet.
Now through March 20, 2015 guests at Tokyo Disney Resort will find opportunities to experience the beautiful world of Frozen at Tokyo Disneyland Park. Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Fantasy is themed to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen . Guests can enjoy the winter season in a lovely world of ice and snow created by Elsa’s magical power, and the nighttime entertainment Once Upon a Time will be presented in a special version that features new scenes based on the film. During the day, Anna and Elsa will make an appearance and greet guests along the parade route to the music of “Let It Go.” Around the Park, guests will also find special menus and nearly 25 different types of special merchandise, as well as decorations of snow and ice crystals that are reminiscent of the film’s atmosphere.
