There’s a common theme in making a difference—creativity. Whether you’re looking to protect the planet, help your community or promote healthy behaviors, your creative ideas can inspire your friends and peers to lend their skills, interests and talents to create a brighter tomorrow.
Disney Friends for Change, too, is committed to supporting young leaders in pursuit of making their communities greener, safer, smarter, healthier, cleaner and fairer. Their annual grants program, through a collaboration with leading youth organization Youth Service America, will provide $500 grants to help young dreamers and doers make a lasting, positive change in the world. Projects and initiatives taking place on or around Global Youth Service Day (April 17–19) will highlight the creativity and commitment of young people who work to meet the needs of others.
One way the message is being spread is through interstitials like the one above, featuring Disney stars Jake Short and Sarah Gilman. The spots will be airing on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior now through April.
If you have a neighbor or friend with a unique and innovative idea that’s aimed at making the world a better place, take action together and head to Disney.com/Friends to learn more about Disney Friends for Change U.S. Grants. By working hand in hand, you can demonstrate the power young change-makers have to transform communities.
