Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger Inducted into Toy Industry Hall of Fame

During this year’s International Toy Fair in New York City, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger’s significant contributions to the toy industry and the impact of his work on children worldwide were recognized as he was inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame.

“Disney has been creating happiness for almost a century, by introducing some of the world’s most beloved characters in timeless stories that touch the hearts and lift the spirits of people young and old all over the world,” Bob said on stage at the Toy of the Year Awards ceremony. “One of the most powerful ways to share our stories is with great toys that keep them going long after the movie ends and the park closes. Toys bring our characters to life in the real world. They expand the storytelling as far as a child’s imagination can go. They invite kids into the exciting worlds we create and make them part of the adventure. That’s where the real ‘magic’ is, because then it becomes their story.”

In the video above, industry leaders from several global toy and consumer product companies, as well as Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter, share how Bob’s vision has helped create some of the most advanced and innovative products around the world.
