‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Casting Sets a Marvel Studios Livestream Record with 275 Million Views

Avengers fans assembled this week — and smashed records.

Wednesday’s Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement was the biggest-ever Marvel Studios livestream, generating 275 million digital views and 3.1 million social interactions across all platforms. It produced over 55 distinct trending terms on X (formerly known as Twitter) throughout the day, with #AvengersDoomsday holding the No. 1 trending spot for over seven hours.

Not only that, but hour over hour, the audience continued to grow — and, after 24 hours, the official Marvel YouTube livestream reached No. 2 on trending.

The multiplatform livestream, which began at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT, lasted five hours and 27 minutes, and 27 cast member chairs were unveiled in total.

Cast members from Marvel Studios’ next two films — Thunderbolts*, which kicks off the summer May 2, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps on July 25 — will play key roles in Avengers: Doomsday. The all-star cast of Avengers: Doomsday includes Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and — as previously announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2024 — Disney Legend Robert Downey Jr.

So, is that the entire cast? As Marvel Studios teased, “There’s always room for more…”

Avengers: Doomsday opens exclusively in theaters on May 1, 2026.
