An Inside Look at espnW: Covering Sports Stories That Matter Most to Women

Since its launch in December 2010, espnW has seen tremendous growth. It’s now a true multimedia brand that extends through digital, social media, TV, events, studio and films. espnW covers both men’s and women’s sports and provides a unique point of view on the sports stories that matter most to women. A redesigned espnW.com launched this spring, along with a new initiative called The Summer of W, which consists of two main platforms,98 Days to Shine – a social photo challenge – and editorial content.

Carol Stiff, vice president, Content Program & Integration, espnW, recently was recognized by Women In Sports and Events for her role as a leader in women’s athletics.

“espnW is one of the most exciting growth initiatives at the company and Carol joining in February is making a big impact on this exciting platform,” said George Bodenheimer, chairman, ESPN, Inc. “It’s the go-to source for women who love sports and with Carol and the great team they have with [Vice President, espnW] Laura Gentile and the staff, I see great things ahead for espnW.”
