Today, ESPN and Major League Baseball announced they have reached an eight-year, multiplatform rights extension – effective 2014 through 2021 – that will significantly increase the amount of MLB content across ESPN platforms.
The result: Fans can expect to see more baseball than ever before on ESPN, including more regular-season contests, the addition of an annual Wild Cardgame, more footage and highlight rights and content for WatchESPN.
This afternoon ESPN Front Row published a Front & Center podcast for a look at what this extension means for the company.
