Following the successful expansion of Hong Kong Disneyland from 2011 to 2013, the resort broke ground Monday on its third hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge. Slated to open in early 2017, the groundbreaking marks another milestone in the continued development of Hong Kong Disneyland as a world-class travel and entertainment destination.
Disney parks and resorts are known for blending storytelling and creativity into every aspect of the guest experience, and Disney Explorers Lodge is no different. Dedicated to the spirit of exploration, the hotel will immerse guests in a world filled with nature, discovery and exotic cultures. The concept of exploration is brought to life through the story of four 1920’s explorers who built a lodge based on their bold travels around the globe. The details are inspired by the explorers’ travels to four regions: an African savannah, a South American rainforest, a Polynesian island paradise and an area inspired by the natural beauty of Asia. A lifetime’s worth of adventures are weaved throughout the hotel’s 750 guest rooms, four themed gardens, three restaurants and shop.
