To kick off the second-annual Hour of Code global campaign—aimed at K-12 students during Computer Science Education Week—earlier this week, we opened up our offices in Kelowna, Palo Alto, Seattle and Glendale to local students for an afternoon of coding using the Disney Infinity versions of Disney’s Frozen characters Anna and Elsa in Code.org’s Hour of Code 2014 signature lesson.
At Disney Interactive’s headquarters in Glendale, more than 60 students from Los Angeles based non-profits Mother of Many and Urban Teens in Tech joined Disney Interactive VoluntEARs and Disney Channel and Disney XD stars G. Hannelius (Dog with a Blog), Jacob Bertrand (Kirby Buckets), MeKai Curtis (Kirby Buckets) and Cade Sutton (Kirby Buckets) for the special event while Disney executives shared their experiences building a career in technology.
