Shanghai Disney Resort Marks Official Start of Vertical Construction

Today, Shanghai Disney Resort celebrated a significant construction milestone with the installation of the first steel column, marking the official start of the vertical construction for Shanghai Disney. Targeted to open at the end of 2015, the resort will include Shanghai Disneyland, a Magic Kingdom-style park, two themed hotels, a large retail, dining and entertainment venue, recreational facilities, a lake and associated parking and transportation hubs.

ABC News Anchor Bob Woodruff to Appear in a Special Feature on ESPN's 'E:60'

Just last week, the Company announced ABC News Anchor Bob Woodruff as the keynote speaker at Disney’s first-ever Veterans Institute. During the complimentary, daylong workshop—taking place November 14 at Walt Disney World Resort—Bob will join hundreds of companies as they learn how to build their own veteran-hiring programs. We’re only a couple of weeks away from the event, but Bob’s making a special appearance on tonight’s "E:60," ESPN’s newsmagazine, on ESPN (7 p.m. ET).
