Here’s your weekly recap of the biggest Disney news from the week of December 2:

New Fantasyland Comes to Life at Magic Kingdom Park - Yesterday, New Fantasyland celebrated its grand opening at Magic Kingdom park, inviting Walt Disney World guests to enter the classic storybook worlds of Belle, Ariel and more. Representing the largest expansion in the 41-year history of Magic Kingdom, New Fantasyland features attractions, dining, shopping, character interactions, recreation and many other enhanced experiences. Disney and Netflix Announce Multi-Year Licensing Agreement - Netflix and The Walt Disney Studios announced a new multi-year licensing agreement this week, which will make Netflix the exclusive U.S. subscription television service for the Studios' first-run live-action and animated films. Beginning with its 2016 theatrically released feature films, Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios and Disneynature titles will be available on Netflix in the pay TV window on multiple television, online and mobile platforms. Disney and Netflix also reached a multi-year catalog deal, making Disney classics like Dumbo, Pocahontas and Alice in Wonderland available now to U.S. Netflix subscribers. ABC Announces 2012-2013 Midseason Premiere Dates – ABC recently released midseason premiere dates for upcoming dramas Red Widow and Zero Hour, along with new comedies How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) and Family Tools. New alternative series The Taste and Celebrity Diving are set to debut and returning series Dancing with the Stars and Body of Proof will rejoin the schedule will all-new seasons in 2013. The Empire State Building Shines Yellow in Honor of The Lion King on Broadway’s15th Anniversary - In honor of the 15th anniversary of Broadway’s The Lion King, cast members Alton Fitzgerald White, Chondra La-Tease Profit and Lindiwe Dlamini“ flipped the switch" to turn on the Empire State Building's yellow tower lights for the evening on Tuesday, December 4. Alongside the celebration, fans of the landmark musical event can now experience ‘Inside The Lion King,’ the first immersive, pop-up exhibit ever created for a Broadway show. Open for limited engagement, ‘Inside The Lion King’ is free for visitors and displays 86 museum-quality artifacts including sculpted masks, extraordinary sets that have appeared in international productions of the show and more.
