By Heather Hust Rivera, The Walt Disney Company

Disney Parks and Resorts kicked off the new year with a beautiful float featuring Cars Land in the 124th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, but that’s not the only news from around The Walt Disney Company this week.

Disney Parks kicked off "Limited Time Magic" this week, and the program includes unexpected surprises with a little extra pixie dust for Walt Disney World and Disneyland resort guests. Disneyland park is kicking off the year with a Three Kings Day celebration, followed by a special tribute to the classic “Golden Horseshoe Revue.” At Walt Disney World Resort, the New Year celebration continues through the week with Tomorrowland’s first ever “Bling in the New Year” dance party.

Disney and Charter Communications announced a new distribution deal this week that will deliver Disney’s robust lineup of sports, news and entertainment content to Charter TV customers across multiple platforms. As part of the multi-year deal, Charter and Disney will also introduce several new services, including the full suite of authenticated WATCH products. Launch of content across these new distribution platforms is planned to begin in the first half of 2013.
