Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund
The Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund (DWCF), founded in 1995, is a key pillar in Disney’s efforts to protect the planet for future generations and help kids develop lifelong conservation values. The DWCF grants program provides financial support for the study of wildlife, the protection of habitats and the development of community conservation and education programs in critical ecosystems around the world. In addition, the DWCF has expanded its focus to provide special grants that help connect kids and nature through exploration and discovery.
The DWCF Google Earth App allows you to search by animal type, organization or year funded to “fly” over conservation efforts supported by the DWCF.
On the map, click a project icon to see a snapshot summary of the project, a photo, and links to videos, websites, and social media sites, if available. You can even “like” your favorite project, and the story will appear on your Facebook Newsfeed with a link back to the Google Earth site!
